🔴 MULTI-BASED GLASSES: What to pay attention to when choosing them!

There is a lot of talk about what the right multifocal is and why they have such a wide range of prices. So let's clear things up, starting with who this particular category of glasses is for.

Multifocal glasses are aimed at those people with vision problems who, having both far and near vision, do not want to switch between two pairs of glasses to see well at all distances. With just one pair of glasses, we achieve super vision from near to very far. Thus, we have all the advantages that stem from this solution. Their only disadvantage is the not-so-good peripheral vision (i.e. the vision when our gaze is focused on the far left or far right parts of the lenses). The entire evolution of multifocals, and by extension their cost, has to do with the expansion of the clear field of vision.

QUALITIES OF POLYESTER LENSES:

A) Digital conventional multi-focal: improved digital in recent years through special software, but based on conventional channel design.

cost ≈195 €.
B) Digital Full Backside multifocals: the front and back surfaces of the lens are digitally processed through special software, and the multifocality (i.e. the progressive gradation of our degrees) is processed on the back surface. Therefore, the clear field of vision on the left and right is wider, compared to the previous category.
cost ≈420 €.
C) Digital Double Surface and Customized Focus: In addition to the fact that both the front and back surfaces of the lens are digitally processed through special software, the multifocality ( i.e. the progressive gradation of our degrees ) is also digitally divided and shaped on the two surfaces of the lens. This results in the additional expansion of the clear field of vision to the far left or far right parts of the lenses. In addition, we can, depending on our daily needs, expand the field even further at a specific distance. For example, if someone spends many hours in front of a computer screen, we emphasize medium distances, without neglecting distant and near vision, and so on.
cost ≈ 500€

* Finally, we should note that the extent to which the field of vision is expanded does not only depend on how advanced the multifocal we have chosen is, but also on our degrees. In fact, the more our far vision deviates from our near vision, the more our far left and far right clear vision decreases. In short, as our degrees increase, and in order to maintain our expanded clear vision, we should go to a more advanced multifocal option.
